In Loving Memory of Danny Murff

Danny Murff, lovingly known as Dan Dan, Love Love, and Sugar Lips, was a sweet and devoted boy whose heart belonged completely to his family—especially his mommy, Kathy. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Danny found his forever home with Kathy and Gary Murff on December 3, 2015, beginning nearly eleven wonderful years together.
Danny loved his squeaky balls, car rides, chasing squirrels, and keeping a very close eye on the mail lady. One of his favorite routines was racing along the fence as she made her rounds. He also had a personal battle with the handheld vacuum and would “attack” it whenever that noisy little machine came out.
Danny definitely loved to eat. Chicken, pup cups, and fries were among his favorites, and he was always happy when something delicious was being shared.
But more than anything else, Danny simply wanted to be with his mommy. He would watch through the front window waiting for his family to come home, and when Kathy arrived, he would race out of the house and straight to the fence to greet her. At night, his favorite place to sleep was on the bed right next to her. Wherever his mom was, Danny wanted to be there too.
Those everyday moments are the ones that will be missed the most—the sound of him racing along the fence, his excitement when his family came home, and the comfort of having him always close by.
Danny wasn’t just a beloved dog. He was a constant companion, a best friend, and a little shadow who filled his home with love.
