In Loving Memory of Kallias Fitzwater
July 29, 2019 — August 23, 2026
Kallias Fitzwater, lovingly known as Big Dog and The Leaner, was the definition of a Velcro dog—a loyal, loving boy who simply wanted to be wherever his family was, especially his daddy, John. Born near the family cabin in Leeper, Pennsylvania, Kallias became a treasured part of John and Ranee Fitzwater’s family.
Kallias shared his home with his human siblings Fiona, Breanna, Gavin, Inessa, Aislinn, and Bron, along with cats Penelope and Turks & Caicos, affectionately known as the Island Cats. He also shared special friendships with his beloved Thad and Aspasia, who passed before him.

His tennis ball was a favorite, but it was always more fun when Daddy had it. Kallias loved playing fetch with John, chasing Bron around the pool, and going for truck rides—especially when it was time to pick Bron up from school. Wherever Daddy went, Kallias was happiest right there beside him.
One of the things everyone will remember most was Kallias’ mile. He always wanted to be first out the door and was the first to greet his family in the morning or when they came home from work, flashing his huge, toothy grin. It might have looked a little scary to someone meeting him for the first time, but once they realized he was smiling, everyone loved it.

At night, Kallias rested on the fur rug outside Daddy’s room. He loved steak and even raw green peppers, but more than anything, he loved being close to his people.
Kallias truly was the best boy. His big smile, constant companionship, and devoted presence are deeply missed by the many people who loved him.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Daddy’s Big Dog. 🐾🤍
