In Loving Memory of Sadie Armstead
November 10, 2017 — October 2, 2026
Sadie Armstead, lovingly known as Sadie Lou, was a sweet girl who found her forever family after being adopted from Maude Schiffly ASPCA Rescue. With her mom, Dottie Armstead, and human siblings Renee, Chris, and Alisha, Sadie found a home where she could feel safe, comfortable, and deeply loved. She also shared her life with her canine sibling, Snoopy.
Sadie wasn’t particularly interested in toys, although she did enjoy her chew bones. What she truly loved was relaxing on her Coolaroo on the enclosed back porch. That porch wasn’t simply a favorite resting spot—it became Sadie’s special place and safe haven.

In fact, Sadie loved her porch so much that she had no interest in being taken away from it. One memorable day, while Dottie was trying to take her to the groomer, Sadie managed to slip right out of her collar. But there was no wondering where she had gone—she headed straight back to the place where she felt safest: her porch.
As Sadie grew older, her tastes and appetite changed, and she came to prefer wet food. Through every stage of her life, she remained Dottie’s sweet Sadie Lou, happiest simply relaxing in the familiar place she called her own.
Sadie’s favorite Coolaroo and porch may now feel much quieter, but they will forever hold memories of a little girl who knew exactly where she belonged.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Dottie’s Sadie Lou. 🐾🤍
