In Loving Memory of Butch Addison
January 27, 2013 — October 16, 2026
Butch Addison was a loyal, loving boy who spent his life watching over the people and places he loved most. Born on January 27, 2013, in North Augusta, South Carolina, Butch was a cherished member of the family of Larry and Dorothy Addison, sharing his home and adventures with his pet siblings, Lexi and Rosie.
Butch was a boy who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved playing with his rubber and rope tug toy, running his obstacle course, and enjoying his favorite treat—hot dogs! But more than anything, Butch loved being outside, keeping an eye on his family and everything happening around their property.
One of Larry and Dorothy’s favorite memories was how Butch would follow them around the yard while they worked on different projects. He would settle down just a few feet away, carefully watching their every move with an expression that seemed to say, “Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” His watchful eyes and funny little expressions always brought a smile to their faces.
Butch had a special spot at the top of the driveway, where he could see the backyard, front yard, and all the way down the driveway to the road. It was his perfect lookout point, and he took his job of watching over his home very seriously. Whenever Larry and Dorothy returned home, they could count on finding their faithful Butch waiting there for them.
When his day of supervising and exploring was done, Butch enjoyed resting on the front porch, content to be close to the home and family he loved so dearly.
For more than thirteen wonderful years, Butch was so much more than a pet. He was a loyal companion, a faithful little supervisor, and a constant presence in the everyday moments that made life special.
Although his favorite spot at the top of the driveway may now be empty, Larry and Dorothy will forever remember the sweet boy who was always there to greet them, watch over them, and make them smile.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever their faithful Butch. 🐾🤍
