In Loving Memory of Rocky Ware

Rocky Ware, lovingly known as Rock Star and Rock Rock, was a sweet, loyal boy whose story began with a chance encounter that turned into a lifetime of love. On October 3, 2012, Rocky was found running along Highway 1 in Camden, South Carolina. That day, he found his forever home with his loving parents, Rhonda and Stu, and became a cherished member of their family.
Rocky shared his life with his siblings, Byer, Tristin, BitBit, Pepper, and Teddy, along with his cousin Rigz. He had a special place in the family and a personality that made him unforgettable. Whether he was spending time with his siblings or helping “welcome” new foster dogs into the home, Rocky always made sure his presence was known!
Rocky enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially going for walks and spending time beside his momma. One of the family’s favorite memories was walking with Rocky in the snow, watching him enjoy those special moments together. He also had a love for good food, especially Granny’s chicken and steak, which were always sure to make his day a little brighter.
But Rocky’s favorite place in the world was wherever his momma was. He loved sitting right beside her, soaking up every bit of love and attention. And when it came time to sleep, Rocky had a very particular favorite spot—snuggled up against Momma’s butt! It was one of those funny little habits that made him so special and will forever bring a smile through the tears.
For fourteen wonderful years, Rocky filled his family’s lives with companionship, laughter, and unconditional love. From the day he was found running down the highway to his final days surrounded by love, Rocky was exactly where he belonged.
Although his family will deeply miss his familiar presence, their walks together, and the comfort of having him curled up close, they will forever treasure the beautiful memories he leaves behind.
Rocky may have been found on the side of a road, but he found his way straight into the hearts of a family who would love him forever.
