ELGIN- Pumpkin Winters Garraux, 2, passed away in her sleep on May 31, 2022. She was born in the loving care of Cameron and Marc Vogt on March 17, 2020 and given the birth name “Harriette.” Pumpkin became part of the Garraux family on June 10, 2020.
Our hearts are broken with the passing of our tiny girl, Pumpkin. She was a ray of sunshine, and the most joyful part of River’s day. Pumpkin loved chasing after any fancy feather at the end of a wand. Her favorite friends were her flatmate-catmates, Aurora (“Ro-Ro”) and Itty Bitty (Pumpkin’s cat-mom). Pumpkin’s favorite place to sleep was at the end of River’s bed. She loved watching birds and spiders out the large, upstairs window, and swatting at bugs that would gather by the lights at night. Her favorite accessory was her gorgeous, fluffy tail that she flaunted like a flapper boa! She loved sitting on the tub wall while the shower was running, but refused to tolerate getting splashed with water after a shower! We will forever miss Pumpkin’s fluffy, sassy tail, her eclectic, sporadic cat meows & noises, and the warmth she brought to us every day! There will never be another beauty like Pumpkin. She was a one-of-a-kind long-haired, female tabby.
Left to cherish her memories are her mom, River Winters Garraux, godparents, Cameron and Marc Vogt, and the entire Garraux family & friends.

River, Marc and I could never have chosen a more perfect mother for Pumpkin (formerly Harriette after we discovered she wasn’t a Prince Harry). We adored her from the moment she was born and the two of you bonded to one another instantaneously. We are both so incredibly sad that she was only able to share two years with you, but we know the love you gave her was enough for ten lifetime. All our love is with you. Marc and Cameron Vogt
