Baby J Baker

ELGIN- Baby Joliet Baker, 17, passed away on June 30, 2022. Rescued as kitten in 2005 from a trash can in Orange Park, FL at Buffalo Wild Wings, she was an American Domestic Short Hair cat.

Baby Joliet, lovingly known as “Baby J,” enjoyed watching birds on the IPad, eating, sleeping, and hanging out on the back deck in the sun. Her favorite food was Pâté wet cat food and Temptation treats, and she loved to sleep on top of her dad every night.

Baby J loved her morning conversations. She was a very vocal kitty and always came running when her name was called. No need for an alarm clock in her house. She woke her family up every morning with her loud meowing.

Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Justin and Renee Baker; siblings, Noel, Brutus, Trooper, Izzi, Chico, Ringo & Pixie.

  1. Cats are so intuitive. Sometimes I think they know us better than we know ourselves. Because heaven is perfect, I believe you will see Baby J again. Thoughts and prayers.

  2. Baby J was such a sweet kitty, a tough and brave patient and a truly loyal companion. We saw her ease and happiness around Justin and Renee and were always glad to have her kind-hearted presence with us for the days she had to stay for treatments. She will be greatly and truly missed. Please take comfort in her new found peace. I, and all of your Wateree family, are thinking of you all during this difficult time 💕
