CAMDEN- Jack Sparrow Godyn, 15, passed away on February 23, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on July 21, 2007, Jack was a Domestic Short Hair Cat and his Mommy called him her “Little Black Panther.”
Jack Sparrow, also known as “Jack,” enjoyed playing with boxes and his catnip toy, especially at night in the dark, watching hummingbirds, sleeping, and chasing and wrestling his sister, Sissy. He hated getting his nails trimmed but loved to eat Squeeze Ups and sleeping on the pillow on Mommy’s bed.
Unlike most cats, Jack loved water and wanted to be put in the sink to play with the water and drink from the faucet. In the middle of the night, he would “sing” and he enjoyed being picked to the rock in the rocking chair. He would talk to you and if you spoke to him, he would talk back. He was also the protector of the house and would swat at intruders, but the biggest thing that Jack Sparrow did was comfort his Mom when she was going through chemo treatments.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Tammy and Mike Godyn; and sister, Sissy. He was predeceased by sister, Black Pearl.

Sorry for Jack’s family losing a wonderful companion in Jack. He’s enjoying the all you can eat catnip buffet with his sister Pearl in a better place.
