Sir Archibald Hedgeworth

Irmo, SC – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sir Archibald Hedgeworth, 3 yrs. Sir Archibald passed away surrounded by his hedge-ever family on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Sir Archibald Hedgeworth, also known as “Archie”, “Arch-Monster”, and “Biscuit” was born in Charlotte, NC on May 17, 2019, and arrived home to Irmo on July 8, 2019 at 8 weeks old. Archie was full of life and loved creating memories with family that will last forever. His favorite activity was to run in his wheel and anything he could do to play with mom’s hair. In addition to running in his wheel, Arch-Monster enjoyed playing with his toy blue mouse. Archie’s most coveted place to sleep was on his mommy’s belly and anywhere he could get all the snuggles. His favorite food was simple. Worms.

There are too many memories to write about, but some of the most memorable ones include Dad calling him Biscuit, taking him on trips, letting him explore at the beach, watching him run in his wheel, and his cute wiggly nose. He had a sweet and gentle nature that made him the perfect pet for the family. The Gragg’s loved to watch him play hide and seek under his bonding pouches. Archie is survived by his cat siblings Portia and Penny, human siblings Dagan, Devyn, Kaylin, Emily, Kristen, Tabitha, and his parents Gloria and William Gragg.

Sir Archibald Hedgeworth Gragg. You will be missed, and your memories will remain in our hearts forever!

I’m so sorry for your loss, Gloria and Will. I know you have such fond memories of him to focus on. I will miss seeing all of the posts of Archie’s adventures. Much love to you and Sir Archie.

  2. Our pets become family! Seeing you both endure the loss, feeling it with you both today meant a lot! I’ve always known I’ve chosen people wisely, you’re my people, because you really love so deeply as we do! We travel through life, and unfortunately deal with great loss, but friendships are strong, and we’re right here always.

Much love from us to y’all!

  3. It’s sounds as he might’ve been small but had a very large presence❤️ May his memories bring you comfort in the coming days

  4. You were more then a pet, you were and are our family. You may have been small enough to fit in my hand, but your leaving has left a huge hole in my heart. I will gladly take this pain and take it a million times over then to have never had you in my life. My life was better because of you. And I know that our bond was strong, and I know that you loved me and Dad as much as we loved you. Your tiny little feet left a permanent print on my heart.
Until I hold you again, I’ll hold you in my heart. I love you Archie.

  5. Sorry for y’alls loss. I will miss seeing his cute face on Facebook. I always enjoyed seeing photos of him.
