Angel Duarte

SUMTER- Angel Duarte, 11, passed away on June 21, 2023. She was born in April of 2012, but was found by her family on May 29, 2012.

Angel, also known as “Baby” or “Boom-Boom,” enjoyed watching birds, eating fish or tuna, sleeping in her bed or in her cat tree, and playing with her favorite toy, Nala from the Lion King. One of her family’s favorite memories was saving her from traffic on the I-26 bridge in North Charleston, and how she would play with toys, jump, run, purr, chew her toys, and give cuddles.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Michael and Nova Shard Duarte; and her cat sibling, Romeo.
