SUMTER- Max was adopted by his mom December 15, 2011 in New York City. He passed away October 8, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.
Max, more commonly known as “Best Boy” or “Maxamillion,” loved to go on runs with his mom. His favorite toy was his Green Wobble ball that he loved to chase.
He loved to sleep on his mom’s lap and his favorite food was cat food!
His mom’s favorite memory of him was Christmas time. He would be so excited to bump all of the presents under the tree and sample all the human food!
Left to cherish Max’s memory is his mom, Sarah Blackwell.

We love you maxamillion, to the moon and back. I looked forward to coming home so i could see you especially. You were a wonderful roommate, even when you were gassy.
It saddens me to have to write this.. Maximus is was such a sweet pup and full of personality.
He brought happiness to many and will truly be missed.
May you rest easy, Sweet Max.
And may your presence forever remain here on earth.
