Angel Hetrick, lovingly nicknamed “Angelina Jolie,” was a gentle, devoted soul whose love for her family ran deep and unwavering. True to her name, Angel brought comfort, protection, and unconditional love into the lives of everyone around her.
Born in Kershaw, South Carolina, Angel was deeply cherished by her parents, Jason and Jenny Hetrick, and adored by her human sister Abby. She also shared her life with a unique and loving family that included Loca, Daisy, Luna, Basil, Ash, and even turtles Jimmy and Shelly. Angel had a nurturing spirit that made every creature around her feel safe and loved.
She had a favorite orange rubber ball that she absolutely adored — not just any ball would do. The other ten she owned simply “didn’t have the right feel.” That little quirk was perfectly Angel and part of what made her so special.
Angel loved spending her days quietly watching over the people she loved most. Whether she was laying peacefully in the yard keeping an eye on her family, relaxing on the porch watching Live PD, or curled up in her bed in the living room, she was happiest simply being near her people.
One of the most beautiful things about Angel was her mothering heart. She lovingly cared for Basil and Ash when they were kittens, treating them as if they were her own babies. She was also deeply devoted to Loca, caring for and watching over her with patience and love. Angel’s nurturing spirit extended to every corner of her home.
She also had a funny and lovable side — especially when she would pick tomatoes straight from the garden herself and happily eat them. Watching her parents work in the garden and protecting her human sister Abby were some of her greatest joys.
Angel wasn’t just a pet — she was a protector, a caretaker, and the heart of the family. Her quiet loyalty, gentle spirit, and unconditional love will leave a lasting imprint on every life she touched.
Though her physical presence is gone, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in every cherished memory.
Run free, sweet Angelina Jolie. Thank you for every moment of love, comfort, and loyalty. You will forever be missed and forever loved. 🐾🤍
