Teddy Boisvert

In Loving Memory of Teddy Boisvert

Gotcha Day: September 15, 2014

Teddy Boisvert, lovingly known as Teddy-Boy, was a gentle, loyal soul whose quiet love and unwavering devotion made him truly unforgettable.

Teddy became part of the Kim and David Boisvert family on a day that changed all of their lives forever. What started as a trip to York County Animal Shelter to pick up a foster dog named Stella turned into a rescue story written perfectly by fate. Shelter staff explained that Teddy was their last remaining pup and their “dog tester” for other dogs, but if he didn’t leave that day, he would be euthanized by the end of it. Without hesitation, Kim said, “Go ahead and put him in the car.” And just like that, Teddy was finally going home.

From that moment on, Teddy became a beloved member of the family alongside his siblings Alicia, Baby-Girl, Faith, Gracie, Polly-Sue, Shasta, and Zinie. He immediately bonded with Stella, and the two became inseparable until she was adopted and moved north. Even then, Teddy’s heart stayed full of love for everyone around him.

Teddy was never much of a barker — in fact, the only time he truly barked was when Stella would leap over the six-foot privacy fence to come find Mom in the front yard, while Teddy stood in the backyard “telling on her” with all the excitement he could muster. It became one of those memories that still brings smiles through tears.

He loved life’s simple comforts most: snuggling with Mom and Dad, sleeping in bed beside them, riding in Mom’s truck to the recycling center, and enjoying any snack Dad was willing to share. Teddy especially loved staying in the truck during recycling runs and often needed a little convincing — or a treat — to finally hop out.

But what made Teddy truly extraordinary was his gentle, intuitive spirit. He always seemed to know when his family needed him most. He became his dad’s protector and was right there during some of life’s hardest moments, including sensing when his dad was going to have a stroke.

Teddy welcomed every foster with kindness and calmness, never causing trouble, always easygoing and loving. As his family lovingly said, he was their “easy peasy pup.”

Teddy wasn’t loud or demanding. He didn’t need to be. His quiet loyalty, soft heart, and steady presence spoke louder than words ever could.

Though his passing leaves an emptiness impossible to fill, the love and comfort Teddy gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Run free, sweet Teddy-Boy. Thank you for every cuddle, every quiet moment, and every ounce of unconditional love. You were deeply cherished and will never be forgotten. 🐾🤍
