Pippa Young

In Loving Memory of Pippa Young
October 4, 2011 — May 23, 2026

Pippa Young, lovingly known as Sweet Pea, Baby, and Precious, was a tiny dog with a huge heart who filled her family’s life with love, adventure, and endless joy.

Born in Yakima, Washington, Pippa was the cherished companion of Mark and Brenda Young. She later welcomed her brother Cody into the family, another Yorkie who found a loving home with the Youngs after needing to be rehomed. Together, they shared companionship and comfort, but there was only one Pippa — a girl whose personality and devotion could never be replaced.

Like most Yorkies, Pippa loved her toys, especially anything with a squeaker and her beloved stuffed bunny. If it squeaked or could be shaken with enthusiasm, it quickly became her mission to give it a proper workout.

Pippa loved being outdoors, going for walks, and most of all, traveling with her family. Whether riding proudly on her perch in the truck or SUV or camping in the travel trailer as they explored the United States together, she was always ready for the next adventure. Her family never had to wonder if she wanted to go along — she made sure of that herself.

One of the sweetest memories was watching Pippa climb into open suitcases while her family packed for trips. Sitting inside as if to say, “Don’t forget me, I’m coming too,” she made it clear that every adventure was meant to be shared. And no matter where life took them, she was always happiest when she was with her people.

Pippa loved life’s little treats — table tidbits, oatmeal, cottage cheese, and especially cheese of any kind. She never missed an opportunity for a snack and knew exactly how to charm her family into sharing.

Perhaps the most treasured memory of all was the way she faithfully greeted Mark and Brenda at the door whenever they came home. Her excitement, love, and devotion never faded, no matter how long they had been gone.

Pippa wasn’t just a pet. She was a travel companion, a best friend, a camping buddy, and a beloved member of the family. She filled every day with happiness and every journey with purpose.

Though her passing leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Run free, sweet Precious. May your next adventure be filled with endless trails, cozy campsites, squeaky toys, and all the cheese your heart desires. You will always be loved and never forgotten. 🐾🤍
