Niki Longe

In Loving Memory of Niki Longe
May 31, 2013 – June 30, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Niki, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 30, 2026, at the age of 13. Born in Vermont on May 31, 2013, Niki brought immeasurable love, laughter, and companionship to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Lovingly known as “Black Thunder” and “Nikita Banana,” Niki was a faithful companion to her devoted pet parents, Ryan and Caitlin Longe. She was a cherished sister to her human siblings, Penelope and Clara, and a beloved furry sibling to Meeka and Aggie. She now reunites with her predeceased furry sibling, Sanford.

Niki had a zest for life that was contagious. She could often be found carrying a tennis ball, enjoying car rides, splashing in the water, taking long walks, or proudly helping clean up the yard. At the end of each day, her favorite place in the world was curled up next to her dad.

She never turned down a special treat, especially beef jerky and popcorn, and she filled every moment with joy and enthusiasm. Some of the family’s favorite memories include watching her experience the ocean in South Carolina for the very first time, seeing her bound through fresh Vermont snow, and witnessing her confidently lead the pack while playing alongside the children she adored.

Niki was more than a pet; she was a loyal friend, a protector, and a treasured member of the family. Her pawprints are forever imprinted on the hearts of those who loved her. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in every cherished memory, every ocean breeze, and every snowfall.

Run free, sweet Niki. Thank you for your unwavering love, your playful spirit, and the countless beautiful memories you gave us. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
