Simba Coleman, lovingly known as Sweet Boy and Simby Wimby, was a gentle soul whose love knew no limits. After finding his forever home in Lancaster, South Carolina, during the summer of 2007, Simba became an irreplaceable part of Destiny Coleman’s family, sharing his life with Aiden, Iris, Snowball, Willow, Kora, and Mavis. For more than twenty-one wonderful years, he filled their home with comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.

Simba found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved chasing his catnip carrot and the red dot from a laser pointer, soaking up the sunshine in his favorite windowsill, and snuggling beside his mommy during movie nights while enjoying plenty of scratches. At bedtime, he was happiest curled up near Destiny’s head or feet, or nestled beside one of his beloved siblings. And if he felt he wasn’t getting enough attention, everyone knew it—his nightly strolls through the hallway came complete with plenty of chatty reminders that he deserved a little extra love.

His favorite treat was tuna, but one of Simba’s sweetest qualities was his gentle heart. He always let his furry siblings eat first before taking his own turn, showing the kindness that defined his entire life.

Some of Destiny’s most treasured memories are of Simba’s incredible instinct to comfort her. Whenever he saw her crying, he would quietly climb into her lap, lick the tears from her face, and snuggle close until she felt a little better. He was also her fearless protector, bravely taking care of any spiders that dared wander into the house. Whether he was asking for fresh water, demanding attention, or simply offering quiet companionship, Simba had a way of making every day brighter.

Simba’s gentle spirit, loving heart, and unwavering devotion leave behind a legacy of love that will never fade. Though he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 22, 2026, his pawprints will remain forever on the hearts of those who were blessed to call him family.
