In Loving Memory of Cookie Ross

August 1, 2019 β€” August 2, 2026

Cookie Ross was a sweet and gentle soul whose quiet love and comforting presence made her an irreplaceable part of Christina Ross’s family. Adopted from the Kershaw County Humane Society, Cookie became the family’s very first “foster fail,” proving that sometimes the pets we rescue are the ones who truly rescue us.

Cookie shared her home with her human siblings, Sarah Ross and Anthony Ross, and was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jessica Ross. She also shared her life with her furry siblings, Henry, Loki, and Max. No matter who was around, Cookie’s heart was always full of love.

Her favorite place to be was right beside her mom. Whether curled up near Christina’s head or tucked close by her side, Cookie found comfort simply being near the person she loved most. Every evening, before settling in for the night, she had a special routine of gently head-bumping Mom, a simple gesture that became one of the family’s most treasured memories.

Cookie had a remarkable gift for knowing when someone needed her. Whenever a family member was sick or recovering from surgery, she would quietly stay by their side, offering comfort without ever needing a word. After the heartbreaking loss of her sister Jessica, Cookie spent several days sitting on the steps, faithfully waiting and searching for her. It was a touching reminder of just how deeply she loved her family.

Cookie’s gentle spirit, unwavering devotion, and unconditional love will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer by her family’s side, the comfort she gave and the memories she created will live on forever.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever part of the Ross family. 🐾🀍🐱
