Tiger Hawthorne

In Loving Memory of Tiger Hawthorne

2009 — August 15, 2026

Tiger Hawthorne, lovingly known as Tigtig and Tiggy Tig Tigger, was a sweet and affectionate boy whose gentle presence filled his family’s home with love for many wonderful years. Born in Olympia, Washington, Tiger was deeply cherished by his parents, Kristen and Chris Hawthorne, and his human siblings, Lili and Gracie.

Tiger shared his life with his furry siblings Patti and Ozzie, and was recently preceded in death by his beloved companions Clover and Spock. He loved his toys, especially “Da Bird,” his stuffed sushi, and just about any kicker toy he could find. In his younger days, Tiger loved being as high up as possible and could amazingly jump all the way to the top of a door and stand there, perfectly balanced and completely confident.

As he grew older, some of his greatest joys became catnip, warm sunbeams, and plenty of cuddle time. His favorite place to sleep was wherever his people were, often stretched across a stomach or chest. Kristen will especially miss the way Tiger would cuddle right against her cheek—a simple closeness that meant so much.

Many treasured memories were made with Tiger peacefully lying in a sunbeam while Kristen read or studied for nursing school. Those quiet moments of companionship became part of everyday life and are now memories she will hold especially close.

Tiger’s favorite treats may have been tuna, steak, and cheese, but what he loved most was simply being near his family. His warm sunbeam may now be empty, but the love and comfort Tiggy brought into their lives will remain forever.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever their Tiggy Tig Tigger. 🐾🤍
