In Loving Memory of Dredd Howard

Dredd Howard was a spunky, loving boy who brought plenty of personality, laughter, and companionship to his family. Born in 2010, Dredd found his forever home in Lugoff, South Carolina, in October 2014 with his parents, Krystal and Stephen.
Dredd was part of a wonderfully big family that included Rose and Pierce, along with Doggie-doo, Gemini, Runa, Wilbur, Ember, Cricket, Jack-jack, Jellybean, Cream, Ragamuffin, Donut, Biddie, and Sootsprite. He was preceded in passing by Chester, CT, Scar, and Meow-Meow.
Dredd was famously nosey and loved getting into everybody else’s business. He enjoyed chewing on dog beds and had a special talent for finding stuffed animals with eyeballs so he could pop them out and chew on them. Krystal will always remember his spunky personality and the funny way he would chomp his mouth like a little crocodile.
Despite all that mischief, Dredd was also a wonderful snuggle buddy. Stephen especially loved their time relaxing together on the couch. Dredd’s favorite sleeping spot was never about one particular bed—it was simply whichever dog bed, rug, or couch happened to be closest to his people.
Rose and Pierce will always treasure their hikes with Dredd. He stayed alert and protective while they explored together, always keeping watch over the people he loved.
Whether he was searching for something he probably shouldn’t eat, being nosey, snuggling on the couch, or keeping his family safe on an adventure, Dredd was unmistakably himself. After so many years together, his one-of-a-kind presence will be deeply missed.
