In Loving Memory of Midgira Blackburn
February 2010 — October 16, 2026
Midgira Blackburn, lovingly known as “Midgy,” was a sweet and precious little girl who filled her mom’s life with unconditional love, companionship, and countless beautiful memories. Born in Lima, Ohio, in February 2010, Midgy spent more than sixteen wonderful years being the beloved companion of her mom, Sherry Blackburn.
Midgy had a special love for traveling and was always ready for the next adventure. She had the best seat in the house—right on the dashboard, where she could watch the world go by. She especially loved trips to the mountains, taking in the sights alongside her mom. The beach, however, wasn’t quite her favorite! Midgy knew what she liked, and the mountains always held a special place in her little heart.
One of Midgy’s most treasured possessions was her snowman toy, which brought her so much happiness over the years. But even more special was the bond she shared with her beloved sister, Josie. The two shared a beautiful love, and when Josie passed away in February 2026, Midgy lost a very special companion. There is comfort in imagining these two sweet sisters reunited, together once again.
Midgy wasn’t picky when it came to food—she loved just about everything! But her greatest comfort was always being close to her mom. Her favorite place to sleep was tucked safely in Sherry’s arm, where she could feel the warmth, security, and love of the person who meant the world to her.
For more than sixteen years, Midgy was so much more than a pet. She was Sherry’s traveling companion, her little cuddle buddy, and a constant source of love through life’s many journeys. Whether they were exploring the mountains or simply resting together at home, every moment was made more special because Midgy was there.
Although her favorite spot in Mom’s arms is now empty, the love and memories they shared will remain forever. Sherry will always carry her sweet Midgy in her heart, wherever life’s road may lead.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Sherry’s precious Midgy. 🐾🤍
