In Loving Memory of Gray Ortiz
February 2018 — October 31, 2026
Gray Ortiz, lovingly known as “Papas,” was a sweet and cherished boy who brought endless love, comfort, and happiness into the lives of his parents, Daniel and Gabriella. In February 2018, Gray found his forever family when he was brought home from R & K Pet Shop in the Bronx, New York. From that day forward, he became a beloved companion and a special part of their hearts.
Gray was a gentle boy who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing with his favorite blue fuzzy ball, enjoying his Temptations treats, and spending quiet moments watching the birds outside. Whether he was keeping an eye on the world around him or resting comfortably in his favorite bed, Gray knew how to enjoy the little things that made life special.
But one of the most precious things about Gray was the way he greeted his family when they returned home. He always seemed to know when someone he loved was approaching the front door. Before they even made it inside, Gray would begin meowing at the entryway, eagerly announcing that he knew they were home. It was his special way of saying, “I’ve been waiting for you!”
Those sweet greetings became one of the many little moments that made Gray so unforgettable. His familiar meows, his loving presence, and the comfort of knowing he was always there waiting made coming home something special.
For more than eight wonderful years, Gray filled Daniel and Gabriella’s lives with companionship and unconditional love. He didn’t need grand adventures to leave a lasting impression. His love was found in the everyday moments, the quiet companionship, and the simple joy of being together.
Although the doorway may now be quiet and his favorite bed empty, the memories of their sweet Papas will forever remain. His family will always remember the little boy who knew when they were coming home and made sure they knew just how happy he was to see them.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Daniel and Gabriella’s precious Papas. 🐾🤍
